XTIC has undertaken two research projects Supported by Meta
1) Speech to Text Translation of Indian Languages:
Speech Lab, IITM’s ASR model to transcribe speeches in Hindi/Indian English and translate them to English/Hindi using Meta’s NLLB (No Language Left Behind) model and develop a cascade model.
2) Techniques to improve learning in Metaverse
The application of Metaverse in learning will be one of the most effective answers to the most asked question “how to enhance student engagement in learning”? The burgeoning interest in the educational space stems from the innumerable possibilities to improve synchronous and asynchronous modes teaching and learning experience. The techniques developed will be used in one of the NPTEL Courses in IIT Madras.
