IITM has over the years produced many skilled professional in the field of Immersive Media Technology and Haptics who are currently serving the World’s Leading Technology Companies with further innovations and patents to their credit. We will explore with our collaborators to setup exchange programs. Already few of these institutes have MoUs with IITMs. We will pursue a joint masters program is possible with each of the collaborator institutes.
IITM has to its credit a lot of Technology innovation patents in the field of VR, AR, MR and Haptics. The technology needed for simulation labs and skills labs could be made in a mission-mode project in India. VR Corridor is a step towards this grand vision.
XTIC welcomes collaborators to setup innovative Academic Joint Venture Partners to exchange knowledge, Cross Utilize expertise and produce State-of-the-Art Immersive Technology Products with a ‘Make in India’ Mission.
As a part of VR Corridor, we will also be training manpower at the diploma and ITI level on VR programming and hardware skills. This creates many job opportunities.
